On Saturday the Countrystyle team volunteered for a great cause. This year Pilgrims Hospices have raised over £11,000 with their treecycling scheme.
This year Pilgrims Hospices offered residents of Ashford and Tenterden the chance to recycle their Christmas trees. The Treecycling Campaign saw local volunteers collecting trees from the Borough on Saturday 9th January. In the run up to the collection day residents were able to register for the collection on the Pilgrims Hospices website and asked to make a small donation.
Pilgrims Hospice were able to raise an amazing amount… over £11,000.
Pilgrims Hospices
Pilgrims provides specialist hospice care for patients and families and has been caring for the people of east Kent for more than 33 years.
They care for patients with a range of terminal illnesses including cancer, heart failure, respiratory conditions and neurological diseases. Our team is specially trained to support their carers and family too.
The hospices face growing demand year by year as more people live longer and have more complex conditions. Over the last year they cared for just over 2,300 patients.
