The drive to be better and do better is something we, at Countrystyle Recycling, pride ourselves on. That, and our dedication to our customers. The work we have put into our partnership with Bexley Council demonstrates exactly that.  

Since 2021, we have improved on our collection levels for the residents of the London Borough. Of the 1.1 million domestic bins that are emptied every month, 99.91% of these are successfully completed. Not only have we improved our collection levels, we have also increased our investment into the services we provide.  

Our focus has been improving our services by concentrating on our relationship with the people at Bexley from the senior team to the work force & trade unions as well as the residents. Our commitment has always been to our customers, and we are always determined to provide the best service that we can.  

Phil Bovis, Senior Contract Manager, Countrystyle Recycling, said: “We invested heavily in transforming the culture of the operation, and all our crews now have an annual training programme, which has helped us retain a motivated workforce. Combining this with the improved reliability of our fleet through better maintenance, and investment in new technology, we have been able to focus on delivering a great service for local residents.” 

“The trialling of the electric refuse collection vehicle currently is yet another example of what we are doing to improve our performance here in Bexley.” 

These improvements & promises to better the service we provide have not gone unnoticed. Councillor Richard Diment, Bexley’s Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods said, “Over the last three years, we’ve worked closely with Countrystyle to improve the service for our residents, and we welcome their ongoing investment.” 

“We are looking forward to working together to improve services further and we particularly want to increase recycling and help Bexley to be an even cleaner and greener borough.”
