Returning for 2019, the Pilgrims Hospice rallied volunteers from companies from all over Ashford, including Countrystyle, for its annual Tree-Recycling initiative.

Smashing previous records, over 1,250 trees were collected for a small donation, raising valuable funding used to care for members of the local community facing incurable illnesses. This year the initiative, which is in its seventh year, raised over an impressive £20,000 for the Pilgrims Hospice.

Countrystyle’s Sales Rep Jolene and Driver Jason, helped collect trees all over Ashford and Tenterden for Recycling.

Commenting on the day, Jolene said: “This is my second year volunteering for this initiative and I’m thrilled to see that it has grown. More trees are going to be recycled, something that Countrystyle is keen to promote, and at the same time, raising money for a fantastic cause which is close to many of us. As a local Kent recycling business, we love to be involved”.

Over 70 volunteers rallied to the cause, lending vans and crews from other businesses including Prospect Tree Mortgages, Givaudan Ltd, Medash Signs Ltd, Practical Van Hire Ashford, Waitrose and Earles Landscapes.

A total of 22 vans were out in force around the area collecting the trees of all shapes and sizes, which were taken to Ashford Household Waste Recycling Centre in Cobbs Wood for recycling.
