Countrystyle Recycling was thrilled to attend Living Land 2024! This event offers primary school children across Kent the chance to learn about food, farming and the environment.
Not only did we get to share what we do at Countrystyle Recycling, but we had great fun organising fun interactive activities to keep the children engaged, including our two new competitions launched just for this event.
Drawing Competition
This competition invites the children to create a drawing to spread the word about recycling in their area, finding inspiration by researching interesting facts about recycling in the UK.
The 10 winning drawings will be printed on the side of one of our dustcarts for the whole community to see and be inspired by!
Sunflower Growing Competition
We also asked the children to show off their green skills with our sunflower growing competition. The competition is designed to teach commitment to the full growth cycle of a plant from seed and to learn to appreciate the power of compost and nature. The winning entry will win their school a gardening kit!
