Kier Facilities Management has appointed Countrystyle Recycling as its exclusive sub-contractor to provide waste collection and recycling services across Kent’s Schools and for all KCC’s public offices in East Kent.

Kent County Council awarded Kier the County-wide total FM management contract earlier this year which included waste collection and recycling services. The 4 year contract valued at a total of £3m sees Countrystyle servicing circa 330 schools across the County and 85 properties owned or operated by KCC. Operationally, the contract weekly involves:

967 General Waste Lifts

514 DMR Lifts

77 Confidential Waste Lifts

5 Food Collections

Countrystyle’s consultant Bid Manager, Tim Haines, commented that ‘this contract reinforces Countrystyle’s multi-layered working relationships, not only with Kier, but equally importantly with Kent County Council’.

Sales Director, Jamie Houston added ‘this is a clear example of how a Kent company can deliver quality services for a national brand across its own County Council’s area of responsibility’.
