The Client

The Camping and Caravanning Club is one of the world’s oldest and largest Clubs for all forms of camping, they currently have over 500,000 members. The Club boasts a range of products to benefit those with a lifetime passion for or a budding interest in camping, caravanning or motorhoming. Not only are they able to offer guests amazing places to stay whilst on holiday but also Manoeuvring Courses with qualified driving instructors and much more.

The Challenge

The Camping and Carvanning Club were seeking a complete solutions to their waste requirements for the 92 sites they operate across the UK, including Scotland and Northern Ireland. Due to the seasonal nature of the business they required a unique solution that would enable them to raise their green credentials and offer visitors an easy to use service.

Our Role

Countrystyle Recycling have been working with The Camping and Caravanning Club (CCC) since 2012 and has been able to offer them a unique solution to their recycling needs.

The contract sees Countrystyle continue to manage the collection and recycling of all dry mixed recycables, general waste and wet and sanitary waste for 92 sites across the UK, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Countrystyle were able to offer CCC cost savings through improved operations and enable them to recycle more materials. The Camping and Caravanning Club has a dedicated Account Manager at Countrystyle. Collections for sites in the South East are made by Countrystyle’s own fleet of vehicles. With all the other sites being subcontracted out to local likeminded sub-contractors, this helps local employment and adds to the development of the local and regional economy.
