Edenbridge Skip Hire You Can Count On

Edenbridge is a small west Kent market town with a long High Street, period cottages along Church Street and Hever Road, and a steady mix of village-edge builds and farm conversions in the surrounding parishes. Most of our Edenbridge jobs are home renovations, garden and stable clearances, and extensions on the larger plots out towards Marsh Green and Four Elms. Access down the narrow lanes around Hever and Crockham Hill can be tight, so let us know when you book if the skip needs to go on a shared driveway or a verge.

We cover the TN8 postcode throughout Edenbridge and the villages around it, including Marsh Green, Four Elms, Hever, Crockham Hill, Cowden, Markbeech, Chiddingstone, Haxted and Toys Hill.

Council Skip Permits

Planning to put the skip on your own driveway or land? No permit is needed. A permit only comes into play if the skip has to sit on a public road, pavement or verge.

We’ll sort the permit for you. Just tick the road permit option when you book and we’ll submit the application to Kent County Council Highways on your behalf. The fee is £100 and the permit lasts 2 weeks. Applications need at least 5 working days before your delivery date – they can’t be fast-tracked, so please factor that in when planning.

Permit pricing is subject to change. Confirm the current rate at the time of booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Only if the skip is going on a public road or pavement. Skips on driveways or any private land don't need one. For road placement anywhere in the TN8 area, you'll need a skip permit from Kent County Council Highways. The fee is £100 for a 2-week period and we'll handle the application for you - just choose the road permit option when booking and allow at least 5 working days before delivery.

Price depends on your postcode and the size you choose. As a guide: a 4-yard skip from £190, 6-yard from £220, 8-yard from £250 and 12-yard from £355. All prices exclude VAT and are effective from January 2026. Edenbridge sits on the western edge of our coverage area, so prices may be higher depending on your exact location - get a quote to confirm.

For a full clearance, most Edenbridge customers go with an 8-yard builders skip. It holds roughly 80 bin bags, which is enough for most properties. If you're only clearing a room or two, a 4-yard skip is usually plenty. For one of the bigger period cottages around Hever Road or a farmhouse clear-out on the outskirts, it's worth stepping up to a 12-yard so you avoid paying for a second drop.

Yes. We cover Edenbridge itself plus the surrounding villages - Marsh Green, Four Elms, Hever, Crockham Hill, Cowden, Markbeech, Chiddingstone, Haxted and Toys Hill. Lane access in these villages can be narrow, so flag any tight turns when you book. We need a minimum of two working days' notice for all deliveries.

Standard hire is 1-2 weeks. After that, extensions are £50 per week. If a project overruns or the weather holds you up, just let us know and we'll keep the skip with you.
