Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF)

Transforming non-recyclable commercial waste into a sustainable fuel alternative for energy.

An alternative, sustainable solution for non-recyclable waste

Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) is a different, sustainable way to manage your non-recyclable waste. By processing materials that cannot go through traditional recycling into fuel, we divert huge quantities of waste from landfill, turning your RDF waste from a problem into a powerful resource. An independent waste management company operating in Kent since 1996, we handle RDF waste for businesses across Kent, London and the South East.

Why Recycle Your RDF?

From waste reduction to social value, we embed sustainability
into our operations, infrastructure, and partnerships.

What is RDF?

A sustainable fuel from non-recyclable waste.

RDF fuel is created by processing non-recyclable waste. By transporting it to specialist Energy from Waste (EFW) facilities, it can generate heat and power instead of going to landfill.

The Environmental Advantage

Creating sustainable energy from waste.

RDF is a constant energy source that allows us to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels whilst helping us cut greenhouse gas emissions. Countrystyle supplies RDF to fully compliant EFW facilities across the UK and Europe, including enfinium's Kemsley Energy from Waste Plant in Kent and Combined Heat and Power plants in Europe.

Lower Your Waste Costs

Cut disposal expenses and turn waste into value.

Reduce landfill fees and avoid rising disposal taxes by converting non-recyclable waste into RDF. This smart RDF waste solution lowers costs, supports sustainability and helps your business meet environmental goals without compromising efficiency.

The Right Container for Your RDF Waste

We collect the non-recyclable commercial waste that becomes RDF in the container that fits your volumes. Not sure what you need? Our team will recommend the most cost-effective set-up for managing your RDF waste at your site.

Available in 240, 360, 660 and 1100 litre sizes, our wheeled bins suit smaller, steady volumes of general non-recyclable waste. A space-saving option for compact sites with everyday RDF waste.

Roll-on roll-off (RoRo) containers take large, bulky loads of non-recyclable waste. Best for busy commercial and industrial sites producing high volumes of waste for RDF.

Emptied by our rear-loading vehicles, Rear End Loaders are larger steel containers for higher, regular volumes of general waste, with reliable scheduled collections for ongoing RDF supply.

Refuse Derived Fuel FAQs

RDF is made from non-recyclable commercial and industrial (C&I) waste, the mixed materials left once recyclables and non-combustibles have been removed.

Turning waste into RDF diverts it from landfill, reduces reliance on fossil fuels, helps cut greenhouse gas emissions and lowers your landfill fees and disposal taxes.

We supply RDF to fully compliant Energy from Waste facilities in the UK and Europe, including enfinium's Kemsley Energy from Waste Plant in Kent.
