Council Skip Permits
Placing a skip on your own driveway or private land doesn’t require a permit. You’ll only need one if the skip has to sit on a public road, pavement or verge.
We handle the full permit application on your behalf. Select the road permit option when you book and we’ll submit the application to Kent County Council Highways for you. The fee is £100 and covers a 2-week hire period. Make sure to allow at least 5 working days before your delivery date – permit applications can’t be fast-tracked.

An 8-yard builder's skip is the most popular choice for a full house clearance - it holds roughly 80 bin bags and suits the majority of properties. For a single room or small bathroom refit, a 4-yard skip is usually enough. If you're clearing a larger period property near the High Street or along Hadlow Road, it's worth stepping up to a 12-yard to avoid needing a second delivery.
