Cranbrook Skip Hire You Can Count On

Cranbrook is a historic market town in the High Weald, and our work here tends to be renovation-led. White weatherboarded cottages on the High Street, period properties around Wilsley Pound and Hartley, oast house conversions and estate work out in the lanes – skip hire usually follows kitchen and bathroom refits, extensions and garden clearances on larger rural plots.

We cover the TN17 postcode, including Cranbrook itself and the nearby villages of Sissinghurst, Goudhurst, Hawkhurst, Benenden, Biddenden, Frittenden, Kilndown and Iden Green.

Council Skip Permits

When your skip sits on a driveway or anywhere on private land, no permit is required. A permit only comes into play when the skip needs to go on a public road, pavement or grass verge.

We handle the permit application for you. Choose the road permit option when booking and we’ll submit it to Kent County Council Highways on your behalf. The fee is £100 and covers a 2-week period. Please allow at least 5 working days ahead of your delivery date – permit applications can’t be rushed.

Permit pricing is subject to change. Confirm the current rate at the time of booking.

As a guide: a 4-yard skip from £190, 6-yard from £220, 8-yard from £250 and 12-yard from £355. All prices exclude VAT and are effective from January 2026. Because Cranbrook sits on the edge of our core service zones, prices may be higher depending on your exact postcode - get a quote to confirm.

For a full clearance, most Cranbrook customers book an 8-yard builder's skip. It holds around 80 bin bags, which covers most homes. If you're only clearing one or two rooms, a 4-yard skip is usually enough. For larger period properties or oast house clearances out toward Sissinghurst and Goudhurst, sizing up to a 12-yard saves the hassle of a second delivery.

Yes. Our Weald coverage includes Sissinghurst, Goudhurst, Hawkhurst, Benenden, Biddenden, Frittenden, Kilndown, Iden Green and the surrounding lanes. We need a minimum of two working days' notice for all deliveries, and a bit more lead time helps where rural access is narrow.

Standard hire is 1-2 weeks. After that, extensions are available at £50 per week. If your project runs on, just get in touch and we'll arrange the extra time.
