Westerham is a historic market town tucked between the Greensand Ridge and the M25, known for its Georgian high street, period cottages and large rural properties in the surrounding Green Belt. We deliver across the town and out into the villages – homeowners tackling renovations on older properties, builders working on barn conversions and extensions, and landscapers clearing large country gardens all keep us busy in this area.

We serve TN16 postcodes across Westerham and cover the neighbouring villages including Brasted, Brasted Chart, Crockham Hill, Sundridge, Chevening, Ide Hill, Toys Hill and Tatsfield.

Council Skip Permits

Skips sitting on a driveway or any private land don’t need a permit. A permit is only required if the skip has to be placed on a public road, pavement or verge.

We arrange the permit application for you. Tick the road permit option when booking and we’ll submit it to Kent County Council Highways on your behalf. The fee is £100 and covers a 2-week period. Please allow at least 5 working days before your delivery date – these applications can’t be rushed through.

Permit pricing is subject to change. Confirm the current rate at the time of booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends where the skip will sit. On a driveway or any private land, no permit is needed. If the skip has to go on a public road or pavement, you'll need a skip permit from Kent County Council Highways. The charge is £100 and it covers a 2-week period. We submit the application on your behalf - select the permit option when booking and allow at least 5 working days before your delivery date.

Prices start at £190 for a 4-yard skip, £220 for a 6-yard, £250 for an 8-yard and £355 for a 12-yard. All prices exclude VAT and are effective from January 2026. Prices may be higher depending on your exact location, so get a quote to confirm your price.

For a full house clearance, most Westerham customers go for an 8-yard builder's skip - it holds around 80 bin bags, which covers the majority of properties. A 4-yard skip is usually plenty for clearing one or two rooms. For a larger Georgian town house on the high street or a period cottage with decades of contents, sizing up to a 12-yard often saves the cost and hassle of a second delivery.
