Countrystyle joined the rallied troops once again for the Pilgrims Hospice annual tree-recycling initiative. Joining over 70 Pilgrims volunteers from several companies in the Ashford area, Countrystyle’s Sales Rep Jolene and Driver Adam, helped collect trees all over Ashford and Tenterden for Recycling.

Pilgrims Hospices Tree Recycling fundraising campaign offers Christmas tree collections from homes across the Ashford Borough Council area. Supporters register real Christmas trees in return for a chosen donation which the teams on the ground collect at a later date.

Smashing previous records, over 1,300 Christmas Trees were collected for a small donation, raising valuable funding used to care for members of the local community facing incurable illnesses.

2020 saw the highest number of trees collected since the conception of the scheme. Commenting on the day, Jolene said: “This is my third year volunteering for this initiative and it continues to grow year on year. We are proud to support such a fantastic cause and trees are recycled, something Countrystyle is keen to promote. As a local Kent recycling business, we love to be involved and raise money for a fantastic cause.”

The money raised from the collections helps many local people who are living with a life-limiting illness. £10 could pay for a patient’s Christmas dinner, £20 could pay for a physiotherapy session to help patients stay active and enjoy festive games with their family on Christmas day.
