Open Windrow Composting
A proven, natural method for high-quality compost
This process takes place at our sister company, Envar. It involves placing shredded green waste into long rows known as ‘windrows’. The material needs to be turned regularly to control temperature and moisture to allow for natural decomposition. After an eight week stabilisation phase, the compost is screened and graded into a PAS100 Certified soil improver, ready for agricultural use.
In-Vessel Composting (IVC)
Precision Composting Technology
IVC is our advanced method for food waste and specific organics like compostable packaging. Material is process in enclosed tunnels with precise aeration, temperature, and moisture control. This highly regulated system meets strict EU standards, killing pathogens and creating a premium -grade, certified compost.
