West Malling Skip Hire You Can Count On
West Malling is a small market town in the Tonbridge and Malling borough, and it has a character all its own – Georgian and Victorian properties along the High Street, period cottages tucked down the side lanes, newer estates around the edges, and the large Kings Hill development just to the south. Most of the skip hire work here is for renovations of period properties, garden and outbuilding clearances at the farms and family homes in the outlying villages, extensions at Kings Hill, and fit-outs for the independent shops, cafés and offices on and around the High Street.
We serve the ME19 postcode covering West Malling itself and nearby villages, including East Malling, Leybourne, Offham, Ryarsh, Birling, Addington, Kings Hill, Mereworth and Wateringbury.

Council Skip Permits
Skips sitting on your driveway or any other private land don’t need a permit. A permit is only required if the skip has to go on a public road, pavement or verge.
We handle the permit application for you. Choose the road permit option when booking and we’ll submit the paperwork to Kent County Council Highways on your behalf. The £100 fee covers a two-week period. Please allow at least 5 working days ahead of your delivery date – permit applications can’t be rushed.

Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on where the skip is going. On your driveway or any other private land, no permit is needed. If the skip has to sit on a public road or pavement, you'll need a skip permit from Kent County Council Highways. The fee is £100 and covers a 2-week period. We handle the application for you - select the permit option when booking and allow at least 5 working days ahead of your delivery date.
Prices depend on your postcode and the size you need. As a guide: a 4-yard skip from £190, 6-yard from £220, 8-yard from £250 and 12-yard from £355. All prices exclude VAT and are effective from January 2026. Get a quote to confirm your exact price.
For a full clearance, most customers in West Malling go for an 8-yard builders skip, which takes around 80 bin bags and covers most properties. If you're only clearing one or two rooms, a 4-yard skip is usually enough. Worth sizing up to a 12-yard if you're clearing one of the larger Georgian or Victorian townhouses on the High Street, as it saves the hassle of booking a second delivery.
Yes. We cover the whole ME19 area, including Kings Hill, Leybourne, East Malling, Offham, Ryarsh, Birling, Addington, Mereworth and Wateringbury. We need a minimum of two working days' notice for all deliveries. Get in touch to confirm availability for your postcode.
Standard hire is 1-2 weeks. Beyond that, extensions are available at £50 per week. If you're midway through a larger project and need more time, just drop us a line and we'll arrange it.
