Queenborough Skip Hire You Can Count On

Queenborough is a compact harbour town with a real mix of property types. The old High Street and conservation area are lined with period cottages and Georgian townhouses, while Rushenden adds a large stretch of post-war housing just across the creek. There’s a steady flow of skip hire work here – kitchen and bathroom refits in older homes, loft conversions and extensions on the estates, plus regular commercial and light industrial jobs around Rushenden Road and the Klondyke Industrial Estate.

We serve the ME11 postcode across Queenborough and Rushenden, and also cover nearby areas including Halfway Houses, Blue Town, Sheerness, Minster, Eastchurch, Leysdown-on-Sea and down into Iwade on the mainland side of the Kingsferry Bridge.

Council Skip Permits

A skip on your driveway or any private land doesn’t need a permit. You’ll only need one if the skip has to go on a public road, pavement or verge.

We’ll sort the permit application for you. Just choose the road permit option when you book and we’ll submit the paperwork to Kent County Council Highways on your behalf. The £100 fee covers a 2-week period, and you’ll need to allow at least 5 working days before your delivery date – permit applications can’t be rushed through.

Permit pricing is subject to change. Confirm the current rate at the time of booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

That depends on where the skip is going. On a driveway or private land, no permit is required. If it needs to sit on a public road or pavement in Queenborough or Rushenden, you'll need a skip permit from Kent County Council Highways. The fee is £100 and runs for up to 2 weeks. We apply for the permit for you — just select the road permit option when booking, and allow at least 5 working days before your delivery date.

Price depends on the size of skip you need. As a guide for ME11: a 4-yard skip from £190, 6-yard from £220, 8-yard from £250 and 12-yard from £355. All prices exclude VAT and are effective from January 2026. Get a quote to confirm your exact price.

For a full house clearance, most customers go for an 8-yard builders skip, which holds around 80 bin bags and suits the majority of properties. If you're only tackling a room or two, a 4-yard skip is usually enough. It's worth stepping up to a 12-yard if you're clearing one of the larger Rushenden family homes or an older property in the conservation area — saves booking a second skip later on.

Yes. We cover Queenborough, Rushenden and across the Isle of Sheppey, including Halfway Houses, Blue Town, Sheerness, Minster, Eastchurch and Leysdown-on-Sea. We need a minimum of two working days' notice for deliveries. Get in touch to confirm availability for your postcode.
