Minster Skip Hire You Can Count On

Minster is the largest town on the Isle of Sheppey – a mix of coastal residential streets, post-war bungalows, seafront chalets and holiday homes running up to the cliffs. Most of the skip hire in Minster on Sea goes on home renovations, garden and garage clearances, chalet refurbishments around the Bay View and Scocles estates, and the occasional extension or build further inland. Our trucks run the island regularly, so turnaround is quick.

We cover ME12 postcodes across Minster-on-Sea. We also serve the surrounding areas, including Halfway Houses, Eastchurch, Warden, Leysdown-on-Sea, Bay View, Scocles and Brambledown.

Council Skip Permits

If your skip is sitting on private ground – a driveway, off-street parking or garden – no permit is needed. A permit only comes into play when the skip has to go on a public road, pavement or verge.

We apply for the permit on your behalf. Choose the road permit option when you book and we’ll submit the application to Kent County Council Highways. The £100 fee covers a 2-week period, and we ask for at least 5 working days before your delivery date – permit applications can’t be fast-tracked.

Permit pricing is subject to change. Confirm the current rate at the time of booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on where the skip is going. If it's on your driveway or private ground, no permit is required. If it has to sit on a public road or pavement, you'll need a skip permit from Kent County Council Highways. The fee is £100 and covers a 2-week period. We handle the application for you - select the permit option when you book and allow at least 5 working days before your delivery date.

Prices depend on your postcode and the skip size you need. As a guide for Minster-on-Sea: a 4-yard skip from £190, 6-yard from £220, 8-yard from £250 and 12-yard from £355. All prices exclude VAT and are effective from January 2026. Get in touch for a quote to confirm your exact price.

For a full clearance, most customers on the Isle of Sheppey go for an 8-yard builders skip - it holds around 80 bin bags and comfortably covers a typical Minster bungalow or chalet. If you're only clearing one or two rooms, a 4-yard skip usually does the job. For three- or four-bedroom properties around Scocles or Bay View, it's worth sizing up to a 12-yard to avoid a second delivery.
