Faversham is a historic market town at the head of Faversham Creek, with a busy mix of period properties and newer housing. Georgian townhouses along Court Street and Abbey Street, Victorian terraces around Preston Street, and modern estates on the town’s edges all generate steady demand for skip hire – from renovation projects in older buildings to garden clearances and new builds on the outskirts.

We serve all Faversham postcodes: ME13. We also cover the surrounding areas, including Ospringe, Oare, Davington, Boughton-under-Blean, Selling, Painters Forstal, Newnham, Teynham and Goodnestone.

Council Skip Permits

Placing a skip on your driveway or any other private land requires no permit. A permit is only necessary if the skip will sit on a public road, pavement or verge.

We handle the full permit application on your behalf. When booking, choose the road permit option and we’ll submit the application to Kent County Council Highways for you. The permit costs £100 and is valid for a 2-week period. Please allow at least 5 working days ahead of your delivery date – this process cannot be expedited.

Permit pricing is subject to change. Confirm the current rate at the time of booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Only if the skip is going on a public road or pavement. Skips placed on driveways or private land don't need a permit. For public highway placement, a skip permit is required from Kent County Council Highways. The fee is £100 and covers a 2-week period. We manage the application for you - select the permit option when you book and allow at least 5 working days before your delivery date.

Pricing is based on your postcode and skip size. As a guide: a 4-yard skip starts from £210, 6-yard from £240, 8-yard from £270 and 12-yard from £370. All prices exclude VAT and are effective from January 2026. Get a quote to confirm your exact price.

An 8-yard builders skip is the most popular choice for a full house clearance - it holds roughly 80 bin bags and suits most properties. For a single room or small bathroom refit, a 4-yard skip is usually sufficient. If you're tackling a larger period property in the town centre - the Georgian townhouses on Court Street or Abbey Street, for example - it's worth stepping up to a 12-yard to avoid needing a second delivery.

Yes. We deliver across the entire Faversham area, including Ospringe, Oare, Davington, Boughton-under-Blean, Selling, Painters Forstal, Newnham, Teynham and Goodnestone. We ask for a minimum of two working days' notice for all deliveries. Get in touch to confirm availability for your postcode.

Standard hire is 1-2 weeks. If your project runs longer, extensions are available at £50 per week. Just contact us before your hire period ends and we'll arrange the extension.
