Dartford Skip Hire You Can Count On

Dartford sits at the gateway to Kent, just south of the Thames crossing, and it’s one of the busiest parts of the county for skip hire. The town has a wide mix of housing – from period properties around the high street and Westgate Road to post-war estates at Temple Hill and newer builds at The Bridge development. Between home renovations, commercial fit-outs in the town centre and ongoing construction across the borough, there’s constant demand for skips in Dartford.

We cover all Dartford postcodes: DA1 and DA2. Deliveries also reach the surrounding areas, including Stone, Wilmington, Hawley, Sutton at Hone, Darenth, Bean, Joydens Wood and Longfield.

Council Skip Permits

Placing a skip on your own driveway or private property doesn’t require a permit. A permit is only necessary when the skip will be positioned on a public road, pavement or verge.

We manage the entire permit process on your behalf. When booking, choose the road permit option and we’ll submit the application to Kent County Council Highways. The fee is £100 for a 2-week permit period. Make sure to allow a minimum of 5 working days before your planned delivery – the council cannot fast-track applications.

Permit pricing is subject to change. Confirm the current rate at the time of booking.

An 8-yard builders skip handles most full house clearances - it holds roughly 80 bin bags' worth and suits the majority of properties. For a single room or small bathroom refit, a 4-yard skip is usually enough. If you're clearing a larger property, such as one of the bigger period houses around Dartford Heath or Wilmington, it's worth stepping up to a 12-yard to avoid needing a second load.
