Ramsgate Skip Hire You Can Count On

Ramsgate is a coastal town with a rich mix of property types – Regency townhouses around the Royal Harbour, rows of Victorian terraces climbing up from the seafront, post-war housing on the Newington estate, and newer developments on the outskirts. Whether you’re stripping out a period property on the West Cliff, clearing a garden in Nethercourt, or refitting a holiday let near the harbour, we have the right skip for the job.

We deliver to all Ramsgate postcodes: CT11 and CT12. We also cover the surrounding areas, including Cliffsend, Pegwell, Manston, St Lawrence, Nethercourt, Newington and Ellington.

Council Skip Permits

Placing a skip on your own driveway or private property? No permit is required. You’ll only need one if the skip has to go on a public road, footpath or verge.

We handle the entire permit process on your behalf. When you book, select the road permit option and we’ll submit the application to Kent County Council Highways. The fee is £100 and covers a 2-week hire period. You’ll need to allow at least 5 working days ahead of your delivery date – this processing time is set by the council and cannot be shortened.

Permit pricing is subject to change. Confirm the current rate at the time of booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Only if the skip needs to sit on a public road or pavement. Skips placed on driveways or private land don't require a permit. For road placements, a permit from Kent County Council Highways is needed. The fee is £100 and covers up to 2 weeks. We take care of the application for you - just choose the road permit option when you book and allow at least 5 working days before your delivery date.

Prices start from £190 for a 4-yard skip, £220 for a 6-yard, £250 for an 8-yard and £355 for a 12-yard. All prices exclude VAT and are effective from January 2026. Prices may be higher depending on your exact location - get a quote to confirm the cost for your postcode.

An 8-yard builder's skip is the go-to for a full house clearance - it holds roughly 80 bin bags, which is enough for most properties. If you're tackling just one or two rooms, a 4-yard skip should cover it. For larger clearances, such as a sizeable Victorian terrace near the seafront, it's worth going up to a 12-yard to avoid needing a second delivery.

Absolutely. We deliver across the whole Ramsgate area and surrounding villages, including Cliffsend, Pegwell, Manston, St Lawrence, Nethercourt, Newington and Ellington. Please give us at least two working days' notice when booking. Get in touch to check availability for your postcode.
