Broadstairs Skip Hire You Can Count On

Broadstairs sits between Margate and Ramsgate on the Isle of Thanet, and the skip hire work here reflects that mix. Victorian and Edwardian houses around Stone Bay and St Peter’s see regular refurbishments. Harbour Street, the High Street and the seafront run through commercial refits on the back of the tourist trade. Newer estates further inland keep the usual run of kitchens, bathrooms and garden clearances going. We handle all of it.

We cover the whole of CT10, along with the surrounding areas of St Peter’s, Kingsgate, Dumpton, Reading Street, Stone Bay and across to North Foreland.

Council Skip Permits

Placing the skip on a driveway or any other private ground means no permit is required. A permit only comes into play when the skip has to sit on a public road, pavement or verge.

The permit application is something we handle for you. Pick the road permit option when booking and we’ll submit it to Kent County Council Highways on your behalf. The £100 fee covers a 2-week period, and we need at least 5 working days before your delivery date – permit applications can’t be fast-tracked.

Permit pricing is subject to change. Confirm the current rate at the time of booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

If your skip is going on a driveway or any other private land, no permit is needed. Once it has to go on a public road or pavement, you'll need a skip permit from Kent County Council Highways. The fee is £100 and runs for a 2-week period. We put the application in for you - choose the permit option when booking and give us at least 5 working days before your delivery date.

Pricing depends on your postcode and the size you need. As a starting point: a 4-yard skip from £190, 6-yard from £220, 8-yard from £250 and 12-yard from £355. All prices exclude VAT and are effective from January 2026. Prices may be higher depending on your exact area - get a quote to confirm what you'll pay.

Most full clearances in Broadstairs end up on an 8-yard builder's skip. It holds around 80 bin bags, which covers the majority of properties. For one or two rooms, a 4-yard usually does the job. If you're clearing one of the larger Victorian properties around Stone Bay or along the cliff top, stepping up to a 12-yard saves the hassle and cost of a second delivery.
