Snodland Skip Hire You Can Count On

Snodland sits in the Medway Valley between Maidstone and Rochester, and has a real mix of property types. There are older terraced streets running off the High Street, family housing across estates like Cornwallis Avenue, and the newer Holborough Lakes development on the old cement works site. We deliver to all of it – whether it’s a kitchen refit on a Victorian terrace, a garden clearance on a Holborough new build, or builders’ waste on a self-build plot.

We cover the ME6 postcode in full, plus the surrounding villages and hamlets including Holborough, Ham Hill, Halling, Burham, Eccles, Birling, Ryarsh, Leybourne and New Hythe.

Council Skip Permits

If the skip is being placed on a driveway or anywhere on private land, no permit is required. A permit is only needed if it has to sit on a public road, pavement or grass verge.

We sort the permit application for you. When you book, just choose the road permit option and we’ll submit the paperwork to Kent County Council Highways on your behalf. The £100 fee covers a 2-week period. Please allow at least 5 working days before your delivery date – permit applications can’t be turned around any quicker.

Permit pricing is subject to change. Confirm the current rate at the time of booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

That depends on where the skip is going. For a driveway or any private land, no permit is needed. For a public road, pavement or verge in Snodland, you'll need a skip permit from Kent County Council Highways. The fee is £100 and covers a 2-week period. We handle the application for you - choose the permit option at the point of booking and allow at least 5 working days before delivery.

Pricing varies by postcode and skip size. As a guide for Snodland: a 4-yard skip from £190, 6-yard from £220, 8-yard from £250 and 12-yard from £355. All prices exclude VAT and are effective from January 2026. Get a quote to confirm the exact figure for your address.

For a full clearance, an 8-yard builders skip is the most common choice - it holds roughly 80 bin bags and works for most properties. If you're only clearing one or two rooms, a 4-yard skip is usually plenty. For larger Victorian terraces off the High Street, or family homes around Cornwallis Avenue, it can be worth sizing up to a 12-yard so you avoid the wait for a second skip.
