Council Skip Permits
If the skip will sit on your drive or any other private land, you won’t need a permit. A permit is only required if the skip has to go on a public road, pavement or verge.
We handle the permit application for you. When you book, tick the road permit option and we’ll submit the paperwork to Kent County Council Highways on your behalf. The £100 fee covers a 2-week period. Please allow at least 5 working days before your delivery date – permit applications can’t be fast-tracked.

The fee is £100 for a 2-week period, and we handle the application for you - just tick the road permit option when booking and allow at least 5 working days before your delivery date.
As a guide: a 4-yard skip from £190, 6-yard from £220, 8-yard from £250 and 12-yard from £355. All prices exclude VAT and are effective from January 2026. Prices may be higher depending on your specific area, so get a quote to confirm your exact price.
For a full clearance, most customers go for an 8-yard builders skip - it holds around 80 bin bags, which covers the majority of properties. A 4-yard skip is usually enough if you're only clearing one or two rooms. If you're stripping out a larger Victorian or Edwardian seafront villa, it's worth sizing up to a 12-yard so you don't have to book a second delivery.
