Countrystyle has secured a contract to supply raw material to MVV Environment Ridham Ltd’s, soon to be completed, combined heat and power (CHP) biomass power plant.
MVV’s CHP facility will use about 172,000 tonnes of waste wood per annum to generate 188 million kilowatt-hours of electrical energy, with a net electrical capacity of 23MW.
Countrystyle’s fuel supply agreement with MVV will enhance its separate waste wood processing, recycling and export facility at Ridham Sea Terminals, located immediately next door to the MVV Ridham plant.
MVV’s Ridham facility is on track for commissioning in the period January to March 2015.
