Soham Town Rangers Football Club, based in Cambridgeshire are currently members of the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands and play at Julius Martin Lane. Countrystyle Recycling is pleased to announce that it will be partnering the club this season.
The partnership is a welcomed opportunity to promote the importance of the sustainability and sport in the community.
Soham recently announced the appointment of local resident, Hannah Firek, to the newly formed position of Community Liaison Manager. Hannah’s appointment reaffirms the Clubs commitment to the Town and its residents. The club plans to work with local schools, businesses, community groups and stakeholders for the benefit of all.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Chairman Mark Goldsack said: “We are thrilled to have Countrystyle on board with us. The Soham Town Rangers are committed to the local community, something that resonates with Countrystyle. We are looking forward to working with them as we develop local events and the schools Initiative.
This exciting partnership is yet another commitment by Countrystyle to help develop the key business relationships across Cambridgeshire and of the East Anglia by providing sustainable waste collection services from our depots in Thetford and St Ives.
Countrystyle is also prominent in the local community. In its heartland in Kent, Countrystyle operates a successful schools initiative, which is now in its seventh year. Fully booked every year, the initiative is designed to educate primary school pupils on the 3 R’s – Reduce, Re-use and Recycle. The initiative closely follows Countrystyle’s strong ethos of landfill avoidance. Representatives from Countrystyle attend local schools for educational assemblies and a classroom session(s) throughout the academic year. Each session is tailored to the schools existing environmental and recycling policies (if applicable).
As part of the sponsorship, Countrystyle and Soham will be working together to develop the schools initiative programme for primary schools in the local area, whilst sharing the joys of football with pupils.
Marketing Executive and Manager of the Countrystyle Schools Initiative Emily commented “we are thrilled to be working with Soham on their local community initiatives, supporting a great team and driving recycling in the grounds. Countrystyle has always put the local community first and we will continue this ethos whilst creating a sustainable solution for business waste.”
Alongside work in the local community, Countrystyle will also be providing full waste management services to the club’s ground in Soham. Countrystyle operates with a strict zero to landfill ethos and is “carbon footprint conscious”, making every waste mile more efficient. Working with Soham, Countrystyle will significantly increase recycling rates and drive sustainability within the local community.
