Countrystyle Recycling delivered an exceptional service throughout Winter Wonderland – Hyde Park… providing reliable, well-organised waste management with a highly professional on-site team and responsive senior support, contributing significantly to the event’s overall success.
The Customer
Winter Wonderland celebrated its 18th year this Christmas season, bringing festive joy and entertainment to Hyde Park. Alongside all of that festive joy comes a lot of festive waste. That’s where we come in.
This year, we partnered with Nu Group again to assist in offering a comprehensive total waste management solution for the 14 week-long event, alongside services provided by our sister companies Compact & Bale and FGS Industrial Facilities Management. From wheelie bins and dustcart services to compactors and road sweepers on call, we were able to work flexibly with Winter Wonderland and Nu Group to keep the event running smoothly and cleanly throughout.
The Approach
We have been fortunate to work with Nu Group several times before for large events, but Winter Wonderland is perhaps one of the largest events we have assisted with so far.
With 8 weeks from opening to close and an additional 6 for build and breakdown either side of the event, it is a huge undertaking that required constant communication from both teams, a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure smooth service and complete confidence in our abilities to provide a great service for customers.
Results
Over 14 weeks we collected 7 different types of waste streams, totalling 766 tonnes of waste, responsibly collected, safely transported, and sustainably recycled from event build to breakdown.
Upon close of the event, with final bins removed from site, Nu Group were recognised with an Excellent Commitment to Sustainability award for their operation throughout Winter Wonderland. We were incredibly proud to have been part of this operation and we look forward to an ongoing, fruitful partnership with Nu Group in the future
