Our Role

In August 2014, Kent County Council awarded Countrystyle a 2 year contract to work with local schools in the Ashford and Shepway area. This saw an additional 201 general waste collections and 107 dry mixed recycling collections added to our current dustcart rounds.

Kent County Council were looking for a cost efficient and reliable service and the ability to allow schools to recycle more material including, plastic, tin cans, paper and cardboard. Countrystyle has been able to incorporate weekly and fortnightly collection for both general and dry mixed recycling.

A dedicated Countrystyle account manager works closely with Kent County Council and the schools giving them a single point of contact for any enquiries. Countrystyle is also started working with the schools and pupils to engage them in increasing awareness of recycling.
